Hello,
Great article.

I would expect that for better performance and Multi Threading friendliness that the tiling would be along the Rows.
Namely each tiled zone to be few rows in order to keep working on contiguous memory.

What do you think?

Thank you for posting this!

I've seen it mentioned a lot that using a cloud service (digital ocean, aws, heroku) is a great way to speed-up the generation of the training yml/xml file.

However, since it's just a 1x processing thing, what are your thoughts on Heroku? It seems better in the sense that if they have a free tier you can avoid the recurring payment setup, however, not sure if the setup to get opencv installed is much more difficult.

I could not debug, I'm using node.js version v0.12.14 and visual studio 2015. I aslo don't have vcbuild.bat in my node(v0.12.14 directory). I got this error
LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'C:\Users\green\.node-gyp\0.12.14\Debug\node.lib'
kindly please suggest me.

Eugene, I tried few more hacks but still I am unable to apply any filter on the images. Any tips?

Well, usually I disable all tests, apps, samples, unnecessary image codecs (TIFF, WEBP, Jasper, OpenEXR), videostab, support of opencl, cuda, java, python & matlab support.

Eugene, I was able to install in on Cloud-9. The server starts on: "info: cloudcv-bootstrap server listening on port 8080" Now but on the web-page I couldn't see much. My build is this: https://my-me-orcam-euleria...
How and where to input the images and transform on these?

Eugene, Yes the Ubuntu repositories are way old. I need Open CV 2.4+. In cloud-9 I am hitting the space issue. I know you mentioned about removing some of the libraries. May I know which one?

Should be. Just follow build instructions and reproduce them in C9 IDE.

It's possible, but OpenCV version in ubuntu repository is very much outdated.

i'm trying to use my ipad as source camera using Epoccam, but when i try to use cv::VideoCapture(1) , it can't detect my ipad camera, as (0) default camera in my laptop, what should i do

I beleive that's no more actual. PS: Why're you still on 2.4.12? OpenCV 3.1 has lot of nice features and performance improvements.

Hi, i had a doubt regarding the opencv optical flow precomputed pyramids suggestion.
I'm using opencv 2.4.12, and i just wanted to ask if opencv 2.x's calcopticalflowpyrlk has resolved this problem and already precomputes pyramids, or should i do the same there also to increase performance.

Hi i tried drawkeypoints in my project.. But it doesnt work in iphone screen.. When i save the image in mobile gallery it shows the keypoints in the image.. But in mobile display it is not showing. How can i display the key points in my AVCapture video preview layer.. FYI here i attached the saved image in my gallery..
